Heading to BarCampBank

There’s a BarCamp for banking coming in February. Can you imagine? It’s in Paris on February 3rd so myself (and a others?) will be taking part on the way to Lift07 the next week in Geneva.

If you are an innovator, a disruptor or a professional of the banking and finance industry, if you are excited by or just curious about all the innovations that the new technologies could bring to the banking and finance world, if you want to present a project, confront your ideas or just echo lively debates with your own experience, then you should definitely consider joining us on this first full-blown edition of the BarCampBank.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to practice my french…

[...] Tom notes that coming this February a BarCampBank will be held, in France no less. I mention this because of my recent rant about how clueless and evil I think banks are generally. I wish I could go to this and see what comes of it. Depending on how “heavy” the attendee’s are and if any of them could actually act as change agents within their organizations this might really be a good starting point. Customers of banks (I think we’re all that) should participate as well so that the discussion gets a more holistic view of the problems and subequrnly the opportunities. [...]
